Report: What People In AEW & WWE Are Saying Regarding Chris Jericho’s Future

For someone who has several months left on their current AEW contract, the wrestling world can’t stop talking about Chris Jericho. We have heard plenty of reports in the last week over the possibility of Chris Jericho departing All Elite Wrestling to return to WWE next year. But what are people in AEW and WWE saying about these various reports? According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, those he’s spoken to within AEW don’t expect Jericho back and believe he will return to WWE as a Royal Rumble surprise. On the flip side, at WWE, they expect Jericho to return to the company when he’s free and clear to do so. While anything can change in the months ahead, this sounds like a pretty open and shut case that Jericho is on his way back to WWE. But as we know in pro wrestling, things can change on a dime.
